Medical training therapy (MTT) is suitable for:

  1. Rehabilitation after injuries or operations:
    For example, after joint surgery, torn ligaments, spinal problems or other surgical procedures.
  2. Chronic complaints:
    For back pain, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis or other degenerative diseases, MTT helps to relieve pain and improve functionality.
  3. Prevention:
    Ideal for people with a lack of exercise, one-sided stress in everyday life or at work, to prevent injuries and complaints.
  4. Sports reintegration:
    After sports injuries for the targeted restoration of strength, mobility and coordination.
  5. General health promotion:
    For people who want to improve their physical performance and prevent the development of diseases such as cardiovascular diseases.

TT is suitable for people of all ages because the training plan is individually adapted to the state of health and goals.

  1. Medical prescription:
    A medical necessity must be determined by the doctor and a prescription for MTT issued (e.g. in chronic pain, after surgery or injury).
  2. Input analysis:
    Before starting, a detailed anamnesis and functional diagnostics are carried out by a therapist in order to assess the current state of health and fitness.
  3. Therapy plan:
    Based on the analysis, an individual training plan is created that takes personal goals and complaints into account.
  4. Training instruction by the physiotherapist:

  4. Controls and Customization:
    The plan is regularly reviewed and adjusted based on progress to ensure optimal development.
  5. Diploma:
    At the end of the therapy, success is checked and recommendations for further training or prevention are given.
Yes, medical training therapy (MTT) can be covered by statutory health insurance companies if prescribed by a doctor.

As a rule, up to three prescriptions of six sessions of 60 minutes each are reimbursed.

Please note, however, that the exact cost coverage may vary depending on your health insurance provider. It is therefore advisable to consult your health insurance provider before starting therapy in order to clarify the individual modalities.
