General FAQ
The contract term depends on the various subscriptions:
The subscriptions GYYM Premium 12 and GYYM 12 can be paid monthly or (with a discount) in one lump sum. (The same applies to the special rates for students, senior citizens, IV and partner companies)
These subscriptions are automatically renewed for the same term if they are not at least one month before expiry in writing is canceled in writing.
The short-term contracts: GYYM Day, GYYM One, GYYM Three and GYYM Six are payable in one lump sum at the start of the contract.
There is no notice period for short-term contracts. They end automatically at the end of the term.
The deposit for the Member ID access bracelet (CHF 75) is due immediately and will be refunded at the end of the subscription. In order for the deposit to be paid out, the member must hand in their wristband to the GYYM themselves or give an authorized person a power of attorney.
The notice period for a rental locker (private locker) is linked to the term of the subscription.
Registration takes place in the GYYM or online will take place. Just come to the counter in the GYYM during opening hours.
You can also register here directly via our webshop and purchase a membership.
Yes, we cooperate with local employers in the greater Basel area and offer special conditions for their employees as part of a partner agreement.
You can train with us every day (Monday to Sunday) from 06:00 in the morning until 24:00.
On public holidays we are open from 06am – 06pm
We are closed on the following public holidays:
01.01. New Year
01.08. Swiss national holiday
25.12. Christmas Day
You can visit the Stücki Park every day up to 4 hours free and train in the GYYM.
No, that’s not necessary. Just come to us and let our team inform you. As a member, you can train with us at any time without making an appointment.
With the consent of a parent or legal guardian, you can register at the GYYM from the age of 16.
Of course you can come along for a trial training session.
Please call +41 (0) 61 633 20 60 so that we can arrange an appointment together.
During the trial training session, our trainers will explain to you which exercises are best for your personal goals and on which equipment you can do them. You will also get an overview of the studio, the equipment and the services on offer.
Please note: A trial training session cannot take place alone without supervision. If you would like to train on your own, you can do so with a“GYYM Day” ticket. Please also register for this at the counter.
Yes, of course you can. All your friends have to do is buy a “GYYM Day” ticket and they can train with you once.
If one of your friends would like to become a GYYM member afterwards, we will credit the “GYYM Day” fee (CHF 20.00) to the new subscription.

At GYYM you can train for CHF 59.90 per month – without any registration fee – when you take out an annual subscription – of course on the best and most modern strength and endurance equipment and with over 360 classes per month included in the price.
The tedious search for a parking space is also over, there are plenty of parking spaces here. As a GYYM member, you can use the Stücki parking lot free of charge for up to 4 hours a day.
And you can train with us almost around the clock. We are open every day from 06:00 until midnight.
Our new studio offers you the best air, a familiar atmosphere and showers are also included.
Yes, the GYYM also offers you a sauna, but not a hot sauna as we know it, but a cold sauna. The principle is called cryosauna. You can find out more about it(here).
Of course, we have placed a modern wet area with showers, toilets and washbasins in the changing areas. Showering is free of charge, as is the hairdryer to dry your hair ☺
Yes, we use a member ID. Each GYYM member receives a Member ID bracelet. This will take you to the Stücki park underground car park and through the check-in turnstile into the GYYM. You can also use it to open and close a changing room and valuables locker. The vending machines can also be used with the Member ID.
For our Member ID access bracelet we charge a deposit in the amount of CHF 75. The deposit will be paid out at the end of the contract term.
If you forget your Member ID wristband, you can get a temporary replacement wristband for a processing fee of CHF 2.
Yes, we offer a wide selection of drinks, shakes and fitness snacks and meals in our vending machines. Coffee drinks can also be enjoyed in the lounge.
Every GYYM member can load credit onto their Member ID wristband and use the vending machines in the GYYM coin-free. Of course, you can top up your Member ID wristband at any time at reception.
No, with us, transparency and honesty are a reality. You pay your membership fee (daily, monthly or longer). There is also a deposit (75 CHF) for our member wristband/card system, which you can use to find access and park. The deposit will be returned to you if you do not renew your subscription with us or cancel it in due time and return your wristband.

In the GYYM we offer you the highest quality strength and cardio equipment from MATRIX and EGYM.
MATRIX comes from the USA and has been setting standards in innovation, quality and technology in the fitness industry for many years. Our spinning bikes are from Tomahawk. We also offer a range of additional equipment for hire, such as various rubber and fitness bands, skipping ropes, fitness belts, uncoilers, barbell pads and much more.

No, the GYYM in Stücki in Basel is the first of its kind in Switzerland. There are also plans to build a GYYM in other Swiss cities.
No, the GYYM is a “new” Swiss fitness center.
The use of a towel is obligatory in the GYYM obligatory. GYYM members are required to wear appropriate training clothing and clean indoor sports shoes whose soles do not leave marks on the floor.

By the way, you can upgrade your subscription to Premium upgrade. We will then provide you with fresh towels and a mineral water flat rate (as much as you can drink) every day.
